Community Outreach Assistance Team, or COAT, is a 501c3 non-profit organization. (EIN 41-4988248) (DOJ registration number 71789)

Our mission is “To reach out to those in need, treating them with dignity, respect and compassion, while providing them with basic necessities and resources”. We serve all of Albany and the I-5 Santiam rest area, and we take referrals from partners in Lebanon, Sweet Home, and Corvallis.​ As the largest outreach program in Linn County, COAT serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, including older adults, veterans, young adults aging out of foster care, individuals with health-related challenges or disabilities, domestic violence survivors, and families. COAT uses consistent, trust-based engagement to connect individuals with resources that support long-term stability and pathways to permanent housing.​
